Local Green Farmers Markets in Houston
Farmers markets in the Houston area define local as grown within 150 miles. Individual markets, operate under their own guidelines with respect to local, organic, pesticide free, etc. Farmers have struggled to establish a foothold here. Over time, some have suspended indefinetely, folded or moved. However this number of local farmers selling their produce is constantly growing. Below you will find a list of the traditional Farmers market locations in the Houston area.

Houston Farmer's Market
Saturday Mornings, 3106 White Oak. Tuesday Afternoons (3:30-7pm), in Rice University Campus. In parking lot south of Rice Stadium, University Blvd. Near Montclair. Free parking in the lot at entrance 9 or in the Greenbriar Lot, entrances 13A or 13B.
