Farmer's Info

If you own a farm and would like to sell your produce in any of the local Houston Farmers market, there are a couple of things and recommendations we must give your beforehand.

Before you start it is important that you have your produce and/or farm inspected by representatives of the Market, in case that is a requirement with the market that you have selected. Then is also important to hold all required permits and licenses necessary for your business operation, including, if required, the Houston Health Department special permit for prepared foods at farmers markets. To become a vendor you should grow your own local produce, it is preferred if you live within a 200 miles radius of Downtown Houston.

Some markets might require for you to fill out and sign a vendor application before you plan to begin selling at the Market, which constitutes a participation agreement of the market rules, agreeing to all terms.

Please be sure to check first and ask for a list of requirements of the market you intend to sell your produce in, so you are able to be a part of Houston's Farmers Markets.
